beneath the bruise of pebbled
where shadows grated groan the scaled ink that menaced taut
glands of rain-tipped scurge untuned hinge
strum rusting gnarl barbed cascading wrung
collapsing-hung the capsizing flesh flailed upon caws raw
of rasped heckle in scattered storm's jail
like shingled roar
masked spindled
between its jaw
