Grieving is a Winter

grieving inside a winter
like raining dark no
longer guides us along
familiar currents of nightfall
jagged river banks
scythe the frowning shadows
as glass puddles weep colourless
the loneliness of shrinking time
that lights never permits
those centurions skies spectre
the braced blizzards crowd
twilights and sickens
razored forests scream-flayed
bark echoes the winds
to fumble encryptions overload
punish the beaten skies
poison on our tow-path-lugging
scarred broken
lands hidden hunters
and fallen lies
shielding our gasps
letting bodies rot
that armour creaking frost
sore run-through chewed hollowed
